Sizes

D&J bulk bags (also known as dumpy bags, tonne bags and jumbo bags) are 90cm * 90cm * 90cm. The bags are filled on our site and are check weighed to ensure consistency. They weigh approx.1000kg per bag (+/- 5%) unless the product contained is packaged by volume (per cubic metre), such as decorative bark and compost. They have our contact details and the material contained clearly displayed on the sides and are characterised by white loops.

D&J half bags are 70cm * 70cm * 70cm and hold approx. 500kg (=/- 5%). These are also checked on our onsite weighbridge to ensure constancy of aggregates and landscaping products they contain. These bags are characterised by the distinctive green loops in addition to the D&J branding and material contained.

D&J Poly Bags are small by comparison. They are designed to be used for finishing off where a bulk or half bag will be too much or where a small amount is required for the project in hand. They are 25kg in weight and are sealed to avoid spillage. The bags are plastic with perforations to allow the material to breathe. As with the vast majority of our products these are filled from our site in Cambridgeshire.

If larger quantities of material are required, we have a fleet of bulk tippers available for delivery of loose material where appropriate.
